Kitchen Spraying – Graco Ultra Max Airless Spray Gun

This job was for a customer we have worked for before and it was a new way to paint kitchen cupboards for as previously we used a roller and brush. We removed all doors and drawers so that just the shell was left as you can see in the pictures.

We prepared the doors and drawers by giving them a key up to help the primer stick and a degrease so that we got off the grease and oils so it wouldn’t react with the paint we were going to use.

Tikkurila Otex Adhesion Primer Tinted Colourmatched

Perfect Colours Painting and Decorating used Tikkurila Otex adhesion primer tinted to the colour we were going to use for the topcoat.

This was done on Monday so that we could give it time to eat into the kitchen cupboards and stick.

Not to mention the money we saved her from not buying a new kitchen and the stress of picking it and the weeks/months it takes to fit plus the mess. Overall I was very happy!

If you’re happy with your kitchen cupboards but not the colours this will save you a lot of money and stress and I would recommend it to save you money from buying a new kitchen.

On the Tuesday we set up all the doors and draws so that we could get them painted with 2 coats of Tikkulia Helmi Acrylic gloss and that would give them a bit of time to go hard before we planned to but them back on Thursday.

Also on Tuesday, we had 2 men masking up all the shells ready for the Wednesday so that we could come straight in on the Wednesday and start spraying so we didn’t lose any time so we could get all the shells painted in one day.

Perfect Colours Perfection – Kitchen Doors Spraying Technique

We used the same paint as for the doors and drawers but this was done in a different colour to the doors it was going a cream the customer picked not the deep red the doors are. On Thursday there was a couple of bits I was not happy with, so I gave some bits another coat so that it was covered to my standard.

On this day, the team demasked all the cupboards shells and got all the doors and draws back in so that the kitchen was back in use. Perfect Colours Decorating numbered the doors and drawers so that they went back to the same place as we took them – perfectly.

We were very happy how it comes out and the finish was very flat and it all looked like a new kitchen and all so the customer was over the moon on how it came out as well witch is all ways nice when the customer is very happy – and on the plus side we took 4 days from start to finish and you can pick any colours you like to have it sprayed by us.
