Over the time we have had off during lockdown I thought it would be a good idea to paint my own house something I have been putting off for far to long, it was nice and simple for me and I even let the kids and my partner help, however the kids did get more paint on themselves and got bored after 10 minutes!

I had a magnolia colour on the masonry and wanted to change it to white so I masked up to buy some White Sandtex Trade exterior paint from Kent Blaxill a company I use to get all my paint for customers.

Once complete, the back of the property at first took 2 coats to fully cover and so we repeated the same with the front of our house.

Perfect Colours Decorating did complete one job it was a job we had booked in before the COVID 19 was on us so it was a waiting game to go back when it was safe for all parties and the government let us return.

This was also an outside job and when I first went to meet the customer to have a look so I could do a quotation for her she told me that she had 2 painters over to look that didn’t want to quote as it was to much for them. After looking it was a good size job, but it was something a painter could do so I was thinking why they didn’t fancy doing the work. had I missed something. Any way I put a quotation in to complete the work and was awarded the job.

This was to paint all the masonry and to paint all windows and doors, boards to a grey colour from brown (the customer called the colour baby p and its safe to say she didn’t like it). We deciced on Dulux opaque paint and applied 2 coats.

 

We were really pleased to observe that all the windows and doors come out really nice – with the fresh paint work on the masonry and she was over moon with the work Perfect Colours Decorating completed.

We have now been awarded additional works to return and airless spray the kitchen cupboards for her.

uPVC Windows Painting External Roofing Skylights

I’m now halfway through painting my upvc windows and doors but due to the weather I have had to stop but this and it will be finished when the weather gets better.

Weather is of course a big problem when painting an outside as it not good to get moist behind the paint, or to get caught in a pour down as it could wash the paint right off the walls.
